I drink A LOT of soda. Granted not quite as much as some who are near and dear to my heart. And when your looking in the big spectrum of things to have an "addiction" to Diet Coke is no where near the worst of them.
But oh!!! How I love that first sip in the morning. Actually it's even before that! When I plop down at my desk, and push the power button in my computer the immediate next task is opening my first 20oz bottle. That crack of the perforated plastic cap, the fizzle of the carbonation build up finally being able to release. The cool liquid in the bottle against the palm on your hand. The smooth tickling feeling of the liquid sliding over your lips, hitting the roof of your mouth the first time, immediately sending a refreshing chill throughout your mouth. The flavor as it rushes over your taste buds.
The best part tho, is when the bubbly liquid rushes down your throat, making it's way to your belly, tiny little bubbles popping on their way down; like a miniature massage for your neck; creating pockets of air, waiting to be expelled later either in a boisterous eruption, of a dainty grunt with an plead of excuse to follow.
It's because of this love of soda that I really want one of those home soda machines. Think if the money I would save! And I am getting one, in 20 days! Starting today, December 5th 2013 I am starting a 20 day challenge if no soda, and starting each morning by depositing the $3 that I normally spend in soda each morning into my adorable monkey bank. Plus any other money that I would normally spend in a soda I shall put in there's, by my calculation I should have the $58 after coupon that I will need for the counter top device pretty quickly (20 days)
This should be interesting for all involved, to the best of my knowledge I don't have a dependence on the caffeine, but I am going to apologize ahead of time In care I am mistaken.
