Reality TV for the most part eludes me. I used to
love The Real World when I was in junior high-school, when A) the show
reflected a mild shred of reality and B) I had no idea what the real world was
actually like (my mother didn't really allow me to watch it, so much as she
didn't really realize what exactly it was and how much of it I watched until I
was so exposed to the show that it didn't make much sense to prohibit my
viewing.
With the exception of shows about tattoos and
special FX makeup and rehabbing old houses (this hold house-the original hgtv)
I cannot get into them at all. And all the way at the bottom of my list of not interesting reality shows are dating shows. I've actually never seen a full episode of the
bachelor or the Tia Tequila show.
That being the case I believe I have come up with
the best dating reality show ever! And I would like very much to make it
something real! I feel like this would be a better alternative to my current
process of dating.
Firstly it would be a season long show for each
single person, with multiple events after an initial application process to
determine the winner as follows:
- A “date” interview portion where the challenger and I have conversations about common interests and likes.
- All contestants will stay from beginning to end, and the boyfriend is selected with total overall points. Everyone has a chance to make up for short comings by excelling in other areas, however points are weighted based on importance.
- The second round will be a trivia portion based on what common interests as well as conversation during the “date” portion.
- After the Trivia contestants will be challenged to an obstacle course to test their, balance, reflexes, agility, general strength, and stamina. Tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Maneuvering around a maze carrying a tray full of dishes while being shot at with an American Gladiator style tennis ball gun
- Battling on logs with giant q-tip looking things
- Push up contest
- Guiding a mannequin through a maze in low lighting with out bumping it into walls (Operation style consequences)
- A number of skill challenges including but also not limited to
- Cooking
- Open ended creative skill challenge
- And a “Price is Right”/”Supermarket sweep” esque challenge, where items are selected & challengers go thru flyers and the internet to find the best deal for it
- Room decorating
- With decorations provided
- ikea furniture (must build said furniture)
- Bonus Points will be awarded to contestants in the room challenge for music selected while working
- Bonus points awarded daily for clothes worn
